The Jade Court Chinese Restaurant (JC) is on Stirling Highway, near the corner of Leake Street in Cottesloe (see pic). Jade Court has been our local visit to China for decades. Always have our favorite dishes, and back to them, whether it is for a special night outside or lazy to cook at home and need a quick fixation. Have never thought to check... they until this week, when post-Covid hiatus we had excited about the ventilation back for food, and Jade Court took away on a cozy Friday night seemed ideal. Went at 7 pm on sat night was busy looking short on staff took tp our seat and the tired man who looked responsible for short personalized, got a drink then we ordered Beijing duck pancakes that were nice a little thin...on filling, I ordered Chinese sizzling steak and my partner the chicken chow my with a order of special fried rice, only thought all dishes were quickly put together
We went there at about 5:00 and there was no one in the restaurant. It was an older woman that seated us, took out order and served us. She was rude, would not listen to our order. Question what we order and barely acknowledge us...as humans. Will never go again. Regardless of the taste of food, I would not subject my family to this rudeness again.
