We stayed in a DVC one bedroom club level room on our most recent trip. We were lucky to get a savanna view room and depending on the time of day, we saw giraffes, cattle and some ostriches, who would lay eggs just outside the room. The club level staff went out of their way to make out stay enjoyable and memorable. Glenn the club level manager in particular helped to smooth out some check-in related issues. We took the tour of the restaurants the day before and chose to eat with Jiko for our birthdays. We had to keep reminding the server we were celebrating birthdays. We wore pins as well. The food was good and we had the bone marrow. We asked for a small variation on the set menu but the waiter said unfortunately so many times we gave up trying to reason with him. We even asked to speak to the chef but the chef never appeared or acknowledged us. TWO BIRTHDAYS and we asked to see the chef and unfortunately we won 't be coming back. My issue was the online reservations, I wanted to eat at Boma not Jiko. When I made the reservations but I am not sure how or when in the process my preferred restaurant got changed. When we arrived they would accommodate us at Boma but they were completely booked at the wait could have been several hours.
