When in London, you can find an Indian restaurant to visit and try. There are many, especially with the history of the two countries. And for dinner there are some places in each area to try. But this time on the visit we wanted to try a place that we knew of when we first tried to have dinner there over two years ago but could not get in. It was packed. The line was long and you had to wait. We could not wait that long since we had an event that night. Yet, this time we were prepared and we went. Welcome to DISHOOM. It is the style of Mumbai, but the history of Bombay. And it is based here in Covent Garden area in London. Which, in any way you think about this, it is exceptional. Within a f...

A friend who lives in London brought us here once and we liked it so much that we went back three days later. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is friendly and fun, and the prices are reasonable. Be forewarned that the line can be long if you don't have a reservation; the first time we went with a reservation and the second time we went on a weekday at about 3:45 and walked right in but both times there were lines out the door when we left. Everything we ordered was really, really good but the bhel was our favorite.

I booked Dishoom on the recommendation of friends and was not disappointed at all. While it looks like a big restaurant, looks deceive and the ambience is quiet and the mood perfect. The staff are attentive and offer suggestions and the menu is varied and caters for all tastes and requirements. There are a few in London so make sure you get to one if you can as the food is outstanding and the staff great.

The chai and the butter chicken are so good. Definitely would recommend buying a box from the gift shop downstairs. Tastes exactly like how you expect Bombay street food to taste and was worth the 40 minute wait. Book a table now

Sometimes when about Covent Garden, I see lots of breakfast/brunch places busier than here and I wonder, are you guys insane!? Go to Dishoom, get a wrestlers nann and some house chia. The best breakfast in Soho!

Best meal we had in London; but very loud there. You’ll queue for 30-45 minutes if you don’t have a reservation
