We were on Skye for 5 nights and visited this wee gem twice. Not only were the haggis, beeps and tatties delicious the cakes were amazing too. However, it was the meringue that was our favourite. Topped with fresh cream and fresh berries it was to die for. The only meringue that has ever come close to my Mum’s. Thank you Jann and Lewis, we will definitely be back to Dunvegan and back to your wonderful wee bakery.
Lovely shop with amazing selection of cakes and handmade sweets. It was really hard to decide what to choose but I finally decided on a piece of coconut, cherry and chocolate cake. It was amazing and the piece so generous I ate it in thirds and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. If I return to Skye I’d go back for more cake and would love to try the curry as I’m sure it would be excellent. What a lovely place.
This was such an unexpected find, everything looked amazing and the taste flavours were next level. The mushroom soup was the best I've tried anywhere in the world; the chicken curry was so delicious. Everything is hand made including using organic ingredients, the owners are truely passionate foodies, it shows in everything they make. By far the best takeaway food on the Isle of Sky.
If you find yourself in the vicinity of Dunvegan, make sure to visit this fantastic little shop. Their sandwiches are delicious, but the pastries are absolutely irresistible. Even if you're not feeling hungry, be sure to stop by and admire the stunning creations they offer. It's a delightful surprise to come across such an incredible place in a secluded location. Jann’s Cake shop is absolutly fabulous. We ordered cake, soup and cream teas for two. Everything was amaizing, the cream teas were the best we had in years. Yes, it takes 15-20 minutes to order, but it was worth the wait!! All the food is produced with care, very tastefull and large portions. If we visit Dunvegan again, we’ll go back!
We love it! Chocolate all the way. All cakes are simply fantastic. Everything is made with organic ingredients. We had three different cakes and homemade scones. All very very good. The owner has a great sense of humour, very friendly and helpful. We would take the detour to Dunvegan only for the bakery.
This restaurant is fantastic. There is a wide variety of delicious cakes to choose from and the staff is very friendly. Although it is a bit expensive, it is definitely worth it! I ordered the raspberry meringue and it was absolutely delicious!
Fabulous cakes, terrible service. Took us 20 minutes to buy cakes, the old fella behind the counter took 10 minutes to make a latte! Everything that’s wrong with Skye tourism, outrageous prices and very poor service, the bakery is way better Book a table now
