Nice owner/manager and employee. Having lived in Japan and Hawaii I just don't know how this restaurant got almost 4.5 stars. Overcooked, tasteless, and the furthest thing from Japanese food. Didn't have sushi, but considering what we bought for nearly $40. I would not consider sushi either. So sorry.
Food is good- a little heavy on the noodles and rice in the dinner special. Would have liked more vegetables. This was a to go order for clients so I didn’t eat there. Staff was very helpful when I called in with questions about order that was delivered by grub hub.
I'm completely addicted to their Two Roll Combo! It's filling and reasonably priced. I've tried other restaurants around town, but none match the quality or price at Japan Express. I'll definitely keep going back as long as they're open!
Your hand rolls are always overstuffed. While I appreciate the value you're trying to offer, sometimes less is more. They’re so full that I can hardly take a bite! Besides that, you serve excellent sushi at a great price. Book a table now
Very friendly staff. Owner is extremely pleasant. I come here for Sushi. Soup and salad are good and usually comes with what I order. Nigiri is good fresh fish. I recommend the Mount Dora roll and the Japan Express roll.
The Key West roll is incredibly delicious! David was fantastic. I just wish that for 50 cents, I could have received more than one extra serving of white sauce. That was a bit disappointing.
The sushi menu is fantastic, and the hibachi is outstanding! I tried the Donkey Kong roll and the Mario roll to complete my Nintendo-themed meal, and both were amazing.
I eat here Atleast 2-3 times a month, we mostly do takeout and it’s always great, anytime we go in the staff is friendly, great service, always clean inside Book a table now
