This is the cleanest, open spaced lovely restaurant in the City with lots of food options including yes, Vegan. You buy a coffee then you get a lovely server that comes round and top it up for you. I love to sit and people watch...where the average customer is the same age as the shop, lol. The building is stunning inside and out. I popped in alone last week for coffee. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed such that I had lunch too often tricky on ones own. The coffee and food was hot, well presented and tasty. My particular credit goes to the front of house...staff though on this occasion who were so professional and attentive but without being too much. Of note also were the hygiene standards, five stars to Robin whom I noted cleaned everything meticulously the tables, red and green markers and condiments not the cursory swipe so many places still seem to get. It felt very safe, clean and relaxing.
Went for brunch/coffee as where we’d planned to go was closed. Not been to the upstairs restaurant in years, was pleasantly surprised and how nicely sector now is. Very airy and light, nicely decorated. Coffee wasn’t bad to, although some of the coffees selections are...very highly priced. Would definitely go again, was nice to look round at the Christmas decorations as well. Shame the toilets aren’t on the same floor as the restaurant.
So good we went back for a second time and it was just as good. Great friendly staff, I was impressed when they said it was nice to see us again. All staff had masks and everywhere felt very safe, clean spacious. The food...was very good, we had a cheese burger a haloumi burger followed by a shared bread butter pudding which was fabulous. Can only say highly recommend we will be visiting again.

We were looking for somewhere to eat, late in the day and this was the place for us. We sat at the bar and Jenny Hutchins was our waitress, she was so good, really polite and helpful. She made our experience special, as it was...a celebration lunch. We had different platters, one fish one pate and they came with all the trimmings. I will be going there and and suggest you try it as well.
I came here for a pot of delicious tea. There was no food as it was so I ordered a carrot cake but it was one of those cake mixes, I could tell, it wasn’t a fresh bake unfortunately. A bit claggy so I...didn’t eat much of it. The tea came loose leaf in a lovely pot and they offered almond milk when I asked. They even bought me a pot of hot water to top up.
Great Norfolk bake off. A superb variety of high quality cakes considering it is a major operation. The mains look good, but they are priced accordingly. The sandwiches are very good. Made on spec by a very impressive young chap. Great views from the window...over the historic market place.
My first visit to Norwich, and ended up here at Jarrod. I must say the Pizza was excellent. I had the seafood pasta and very nice too, and the portions are a good size. would definitely come back.
