My first visit to Java Spice was about five years ago with friends, and I recall it being incredibly busy, with all the tables filled and servers bustling from one table to another. It was my first experience with Indonesian food, and it left quite an impression. Recently, I remembered Java Spice and decided to revisit. A little heads-up: the prices listed online are not entirely accurate, and you should expect to pay a bit more. I ordered Nasi Goreng Kornet and Char Kway Teaw. The food was hot when I arrived, but the total for just those two dishes (including taxes) came to over $30. I understand inflation is a factor, but it would have been nice to have been informed of the prices when I...

As per the other recent reviews, very disappointed with their nasi bunkus that is just BAD. No wonder why friends didn't provide any positive feedback regarding this dish when bought extras for them (while I had others) in the past. To be fair, chicken meat inside was decent but everything else was bland with unpleasant taste including the soggy rice. Probably won't ever order this again since it doesn't seem to be a one-off, as many reviews have already mentioned the same displeasure. Also, wouldn't recommend 3 skewers of udang panggang at their price... and cha kangkung and bakmi goreng was okay.

The food here reminds me of my mother's cooking—very authentic! The service was excellent, and our server was incredibly patient with my family. All three of my kids absolutely loved the rich fried noodles, and the fried rice was fantastic! We're from Vegas, and we plan to stop by every time we visit California. We've tried other Indonesian restaurants in LA, and this one is definitely the best we've experienced. Thank you! Additionally, I was searching for an Indonesian muscle relaxer for my mother, and they had one here! I'm really impressed.

"Delicious food" is what comes to mind when I think of this restaurant. I absolutely love it here, especially for the soto (chicken soup) and the nasi bungkus (rice wrapped in banana leaves with beef rendang). Everything is incredibly tasty! Book a table now

This restaurant is my top choice for Indonesian cuisine. The food is of excellent quality and expertly seasoned with authentic Indonesian spices. The chicken satay is simply the best!

Don't miss out on their weekend special, Nasi Bungkus (rice wrapped in banana leaf). It has a spiciness level of 4 out of 5.
