I recently ordered takeout for lunch from this restaurant and, unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The food was disappointing, earning a meager 1 out of 5. However, I must mention that the service was decent, scoring a 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere of the restaurant seemed inviting when I visited to pick up my order, also rated at 3 out of 5. If you do decide to try it, I would highly recommend giving Ellie's French Onion Soup a shot—it was the highlight of my meal!
Every time I visit this restaurant, it feels like stepping back into the 80s and 90s, the carefree days of our youth. Today was no different. We enjoyed Cajun dry rub wings, a large spinach salad, a bowl of chowder, and of course, Brenda’s chicken sandwich—because there’s nothing quite like it. It’s also a guarantee that we’ll run into someone from the past, reminding us of the days when Belmont Street was the heart of the Upper Monroe neighborhood!
This Jeremiah's Tavern is conveniently located just a short 2-minute drive from Cobb's Hill, making it a regular spot for our softball team after games. It’s typically easy to find a free table and place an order at the bar. They regularly update their tap list, offering a great selection that includes everything from stouts to sours. The food is also quite good; we especially love their pizza! I highly recommend checking this place out!
Classic bar in a great location. In my experience the food is pretty standard bar food with nothing special. The wings have gone down on quality over the years, and if you get them during busy hours they're likely to be soggy. I do love the neighborhood it's in and the bar side is fantastic for watching games or other events. Usually plenty of seating. You shouldn't have to wait long to get a table. Service: Dine in

Our server, Leah, was incredibly accommodating. I felt a bit bad for sending the food back, and I hope someone on the staff enjoyed it or took it home. Leah was quick to assist and made sure my needs were met. I would definitely return to try both dishes again! It was just what I needed after a long day, and the prices were great too!
I go to this restaurant for the Long Island Reuben with sweet potato fries, but my last visit was very disappointing. The fries were over-fried and burnt, and the bread on the sandwich was so stale that I couldn’t even bite through the edges. I ended up eating only the filling of the sandwich and had to throw away the bread and fries.
The wing plate was outstanding! I’m giving it four stars, though, because the service was a bit slow—no one took my order for about 15 minutes after I got there. The food took a while to come out too. However, it was delicious, and thankfully, they had the NBA Finals playing to keep me entertained!
The side salad was large and exceptionally fresh. The broiled fish had wonderful flavor. The French onion soup was excellent as well. This place never fails to impress.

We ordered some soup and fries. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a 3 out of 5.
The burger was a bit overcooked, but the French dip was delicious.
