I used to love this place. I ordered online, I wasn't sure where to pick up, I ask at the drive thru and the girl quickly told me I had to go inside. The reason I ordered on line was because my back has issues and we decided to eat in. At that time a long line was at the door waiting for a table. I waited a min and then i thought that maybe I should just walk into the bar area. I sat at the bar for several min with workers walking all around. All of them trying not to notice me and trying hard to avoid eye contact. I finally flagged down a server and explained that I had a call in. He said that he would get someone. This had to be the worst experience at any restaurant I’ve had. Initially, when you walk in, you have to order and pay before you seat Your self, have to fix your own drink, and we waited until we received our food before we Was greeted by our waitress. The ribs were hard and extremely dry, my order was incorrect, and the banana pudding was way too sweet. I’ve never seen a Jim and nicks restaurant like this. I know why it was not busy at all. Very very bad experience will not go back to this particular restaurant.
I gave a rating of 1 because, while the meal was fantastic, the service was very disappointing. The woman who delivered our food was rude. I inquired about the biscuits, and she told me they were $6.99 each if I wanted any. Eventually, after I mentioned it, she brought us one biscuit each, but she just tossed them on the table and walked away. I certainly won't be returning to the Alabaster location. It was my husband's first visit, and the experience was terrible, despite the brisket sandwich being excellent.
JimnNick’s manager, John went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our food this evening. We eat there at least once a week and most weeks twice. My husband loves the Classic Pulled Pork Dinner and the side dishes. And we always order extra cheese biscuits. It’s our favorite restaurant in Alabaster. Having a manager that truly cares about the customer consistently receiving a quality meal is paramount. I hope the company knows they have a rock star for a manager!

The food was presented on a large tray with a paper placemat, which caused the food to stick and resulted in bits of paper ending up in our BBQ. Additionally, the portions were quite small for the $50 we paid for two people!
Ordered Bbq salads with turkey. Very dissatisfied with the order. Turkey was very dry/over-cooked in small bits and pieces to the point it was inedible. This was a drive- through order on today, 7/27/24.
The brisket and cheese biscuits here are consistently amazing. I’ve never had a bad meal at this place. Just a heads up, Katie was incredibly friendly!
