This place is a really bubbly restaurant.I've been here not once, twice, but thrice! It's my third time here, and I kind of have a feel of this place. The waitresses are nice, the atmosphere is cozy, and the variety of food was not bad! They have a smart tactic, which is a "buy one get one free" style, though each dish is around $18. Basically each dish is around $9. Though it would be nice if the dishes were filled to the brim!The only problems are, that you have to wait a long time (we waited for 45 minutes to get a seat), and the portions are very little. A friend and I ate at Jimoco today, we selected from the 2 for 1 prices, lots of pasta choices, mostly Asians in there. Big portions, I was very surprised at how good the good was. I think the cook is Korean. I had the Linguini Alfredo, she had a pasta with scallops which had a bit of a bite to it, very tasty. They serve garlic bread with the meal. It's a small place with some tables on one side, little booths on the other side. Rather quaint. Service, food nice and hot. Enjoyable.
Jimoco is famous for its 2-for-1 special on pasta. They are delicious and authentic. The restaurant has a certificate that shows the chef learning his/her cooking skill in Italty but I am not sure if it is still there. Their seafood pasta and risotto are recommended. The only problem is that the restaurant is small and so reserve a table if you have a big group.
We stopped in here for lunch and enjoyed a two-for-one passed a special. We ordered the seafood version which had clams shrimp calamari and scallops. We ordered it with a rose sauce and it was quite tasty. Not a whole lot of seafood but the sauce was nice and it came in a cast iron bowl which kept all the food hot. We will be back. The restaurant is right across the street from the Safeway on Austin Avenue, you have to look hard,it's kind of hidden. Once inside the menu is mostly pasta, but it is two for one. The dishes are generous and wait staff are nice. It is very small, so you might have to wait.
The food is incredible, which is why there always seems to be a line-up out the door. That's the only reason I gave this a 4/5. If it weren't so busy, it would easily be a 5/5! We order a different pasta dish each time.
Flow charts; cozy place and friendly staff. Vegan friendly option too although they definitely need to add to the Vegan menu choices; it's not that hard with tomato soup and vegan whole wheat pasta available
I never realized there were so many interesting variations tp serving pasta. The chef is Asian. My friend and I enjoyed our choices. Mine was Alfredo, best I've ever tasted. The meals are two for one. Book a table now
This place had one of the best pasta I ever had. So nicely cooked and very good taste. It doesn't feel like eating pasta, it was cooked so nice that feels soft like noodles!
