Just bought a pineapple bun and sausage bun at 8:20 am, and ate it right away; supposed they baked fresh at that early hour, BUT tasted stiff or hard, felt like it had been sitting there for hours or reheated last night’s left over; they could do better with business been around for that many years; I did make a courtesy call to verify if made fresh, they insisted so which I still don’t believe …
These Po Tarts are absolutely fantastic! The flaky, buttery crust paired with the incredibly smooth custard is just divine! I wouldn't bother trying anything else on the menu. The hot dog bread is decent, and the chicken and curry pies are just alright. It's best to splurge all your money and calories on the Po Tarts—trust me, you won't regret it!
The egg tarts are incredible! They're flaky, not overly sweet, and wonderfully light. I could easily indulge in a few of them in one sitting. I also really love the sweet rolls. It's definitely worth a return visit. They accept cards, but there's a minimum spend of $16 (or maybe $18?). Honestly, you’ll likely end up spending more than that anyway.
We visit this place solely for their Portuguese egg tarts. While they aren't inexpensive, they're undoubtedly the best in town. It's a good idea to call ahead to reserve and confirm their hours, as they sometimes close early. Their other baked goods are decent, but the egg tarts are the main attraction. Book a table now
mango cake! I came here after seeing other photos of her mango cake on google maps. I've never seen such a cake. there are discs of mangos on a white cake with white cream and mango fragmented on the inside. we loved it! it was so fresh. will come back to try their other items.
Busy place. Hours changed. Excellent po tat. Portuguese milk tart flaky crust and creamy center. Taro Dwight dense. Curry beef bun meh. Mango cake was good Came back 2nd time for egg tart. Meh. Wasn’t the best ever in Los Angeles. Also got strawberry cake
The Portuguese egg tarts here are fantastic! The flavor is very much like the originals from Macau, although the crust is slightly different. They tend to sell out by 4 to 4:30 PM, so be sure to arrive before then. IG: kay_okay_eat
