on Friday 7 juni 2019, we bought three dishes from jk in indooroopilly. our order consisted of a lamb biryani and two curries, namely a chicken balti (mean spiciness) and a lamb jardaloo boti (mean sizilien). the lamm biryani was magnificent. the lambs were. slim and well married, and the gurkenrita added the biryani very well. each of the two curries came with a tub of cooked white rice. the chicken balti, boiled with thorns and tomato, had a distinctive spicy taste. the lamb jardaloo boti was a little less spicy with a delicate taste of apricots and tomats. all three dishes were very pleasant. in consideration of our penchants for spicy Indian dishes, we were not particularly enthusiastic...

This is one of the worst meals we have had on a voucher deal, we were really looking forward to some delish indian fare but the food was such a disappointment! The shared platter for the entree tasted and looked like it had been reheated many times over, it was hard and dry and the Lamb Rogan Josh that many had raved about in previous reviews was a generous size and very tender, BUT it over the top salty that I could only tolerate a couple of mouthfuls before giving up on eating it. My husband's meal was ok, nothing to rave about and he usually finishes off what I don't eat but even he could not face how salty my dish was.We went early and the restaurant was almost empty, so the service shou...

Ignore the plastic on the tablecloths and give this place a go. My family and I had a voucher for a three course banquet. The entree was plentiful - a tray of tandoori boneless chicken pieces (yum), seekh lamb kebab (removed from stick so looked like sausage and tasted very similar to a slightly spicy sausage) and vegetable samosas (most popular although I preferred the chicken). For the mains I enjoyed the tandoori lamb cutlets although didn't see the point of serving them on cabbage. Everyone else ordered curries and rice. I tried the butter chicken (sweet and delish) and a korma (nice). The jardaloo boti and lamb rogan josh were apparently tasty too (particularly the rogan josh.) The naan...

Sounds odd but that was important as piece after piece of tough and inedible pieces of meat were deposited there. Yuk! This was not the melt in the mouth lamb I was expecting. When the waitress was told she smiled. Yes I was left pretty speechless at the poor meal as well. Although a vegetable curry was nice, the roti was disappointing. How can that be? It might also be a good idea to check on the level of spiciness as medium was a bit hotter than expected. There is a certain ambience inside but it is a bit old and jaded. Sitting in the courtyard was a bit like sitting in someone's garden shed as we had the hose, slippery when wet yellow for sign and dead pot plants adjacent to our table. Do... Book a table now

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I have been a loyal customer for years and it used to be one of my favorite curry houses. However, during my visit on a Friday, with a reservation for four, the restaurant was nearly empty with only one other table occupied. Despite this, the waiter forgot to place our order with the kitchen, causing a significant delay in receiving our food. When the dishes finally arrived, the mild curries were unexpectedly spicy, the hot curry was too hot, and the lamb was overcooked to the point of being inedible. I am sorry to say that I will not be returning to this restaurant for a long time.

My husband and I were looking for an Indian restaurant that we had not tried yet and was not too far from home so we did a goggle search and found this little gem.A very authentic experience, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food had a really wholesome feel as if we were guests in someones home, unpretentious and real freshly made good food. The waitress we had serve us had impeccable customer service skills and the perfect balance of being attentive yet not hovering over us.We had a really enjoyable experience at a very reasonable price as well.

My wife and I popped in for a quick dinner after work and was delighted with what we had, my wife had a butter chicken and I had a chicken Tikka masala both had wonderful flavours we also had a garlic naan and cheese and...spinach naan that were both delicious as well, the waitress was very friendly and the food came out quickly, there wasnt alot of people in the restaurant but this place would get alot of take away and delivery orders. we just moved to the area and will certainly be back.

I wish I had found this restaurant earlier! I am a great fan of Indian food, but often dissapointed in busy Indian restaurants in Australia. we had two curries, a naan and a paratha that made us feel not sick or hard, just full and. very satisfied. if they don't like a choke, they should be sure that they know how their food is unlikely to get dirty. my homemate is also a big fan who orders weekly crooks and after the attempt of all surrounding Indians she gets stolen with this. This unassuming little place is definitely a hidden gem! If you want beautiful Indian food, then this is one of the best places around, I’d say. Portion sizes are good and not too much for one person. Service is a little sleepy though, and drinks...are of the ‘fizzy in a bottle’ type, so don’t expect fancy and glamorous in that regard. I had Goan fish curry (medium). Delicious and fresh with fluffy naan bread! Recommend this place from my visits.
