"I didn?t find their menu exciting or anything special. Had the Chinese chicken salad gluten free modified which was good but honestly quite boring. My niece took the maple chicken sandwich and like it. The table we set on was dirty (I did ask one of the servants ?can we sit there?? And he confirmed that we can). Probably won?t go back there ."

Well, it has been way too long since I have been here... it reminds me of an East Hampton eatery and then some. With subway tiles and old school b&w tiles on the floor and walls; it is a beautiful restaurant. It has a Thyme Cafe vibe but she Joan) is the ORIGINAL! This place is incredibly spacious and every where you look, there are delicious offerings ... cupcakes and sweets- salads and sandwiches- take home-to go- etc. a welcoming waitstaff and servers who are absolutely delighted to be working there is the vibe... my friend Adam and I sat there for 2 hours this morning catching up and no one was rushing us out the door... I had delicious scrambled eggs and toast. Not too expensive for sur...

BEEN THERE! DONE THAT! NOW THEN! NEXT STEP! WRITE MY REVIEW. Been stopping in at Joan's on Third for years now. Why I never wrote about it is beyond me! Suffice to say each visit was pleasant and delicious but my most recent visit was fulfilling. I had their lox and bagel sandwich. It cost a mere $13 which was IMHO a steal for the amount of food it came with. Two giant slices of lox with their dill dressing, tomato lettuce and onion sitting on their original bagel. I had a croissant to go with a slice of home made meatloaf for my dinner. This is the place if you want/need pastries or prepared meals to go. It's also a people watcher place. Well, it's West LA what do you expect right? Street p...

As LA as it gets.. friendly knowledgeable waiters, lots of sunlight, inside and of course curbside. Well priced and packed cheese, charcuterie, cakes, salads and snacks. A la minute sandwiches slightly on the pricier side but still acceptable. Just wished they have more places to sit on peak brunch hours as most patrons seem to want to forget the time and love to linger while taking in the great weather... Bring lots of personal sanitizers to speed up sanitizing yourown tables as their table availability a bit slow..

Fantastic is the word. Pastries and coffee were great. Substantial detail goes into the seasonal presentation of Joan's and it is apparent. Only deducted one star because of the higher price points of certain items that are well available elsewhere. However, the eclectic mix of cooking/baking items, the deli, the bakery and coffee shop are well worth the visit.
