we were four in the restaurant bauernhof on a Friday night. eating was really the hammer, fabulously good and great portions. what disturbs us is the future of meat or the card. you do not see where the meat comes from in the individual menus. because I only eat meat from the Swiss, I could only choose the calf-scattered, this was clearly declared. why can't you just declare for a menue where the meat comes from? the bark comes from either Switzerland, earth or usa. we know the restaurant bauernhof and the owner jo for a long time, but this time he has surpassed himself!The rustic but honest ambiente likes (or not,) but this is a matter of fact. jo and his team make the best out.The kitchen is very good and the service very friendly and courteous. the offer has a "irish-touch" and also the wine card can be seen.Schon "the gruss from the kitchen" was great, a hackfleischrölleli on salad leaves with a successful sösseli (foto 1).The bark fill strips with the pommery mustard sauce were simply sensational! (picture 2).We are glad that there is jo and his farm team!
the idea that in this rearmost corner of the village an inconspicuous restaurant is a pointed kitchen. for years here joe cooks with dedication and total selflessness the best dishes. whether you are eating curry or garlic, grilled scampis, or main courses such as Irish entrecote, calves or lambs; it's always perfect! - the restaurant is unfortunately closed by end of 2016, but joe remains to us. as he mentioned at the last visit he will cook next year closer to the sea. we are happy!
as a regular guest once more full satisfaction of the sweet salad with a delight and the lammhaxe on candy bed very tasty we keep joe the faithful because he is a creative, generous cook with great ideas until the end of 2016 runs the operation normally further-then come the excavators....PS with frenziska works a professional friendly service. we were on the journey from basel to the engadin and determined to drive us kuzerhand due to the reviews of the carbahn and to search for the restaurant bauernhof. found and was rewarded: the service was very friendly. the food came very fast: the nüsslisalat was a dense, the size was more than enough and the spicy was very good. around 1a.
joe has been cooking us excellently. the entrecôte with supplement was sensational, the bark fillet in the pfeffer coat super in the meat, but for me overall marginal in the sharpness.
small, healthy restaurant in old gasyard. unfortunately only briefly open in time, since a new building is created, but where the restaurant is to remain under the same guide.
the ambiente of this local is more rustic and tasteful, but the kitchen convinces with very good meat kitchen. also nice selection of (Irish) whiskeys. friendly service.
