Found this gem while working in MD. Outstanding Chinese food! The food was always very fresh and well prepared. On average, we ate at Joey Chiu's two times a week and could have easily eaten there more often. In these days of cheap Chinese food takeout, it was refreshing to find an excellent full service restaurant. Dine in was nice, the restaurant was very clean and well maintained. The food was always high quality and did not lose anything if ordered as take out.
In summary, the food at Joey Chiu's Greenspring Inn is exceptional and skillfully crafted. The service is top-notch, and the ambiance is charming. While it is pricier than standard takeout, the additional cost is well worth it. Some classic dishes come with a subtle twist—for example, the General Tso's chicken is lightly breaded, and the crispy beef isn't as crunchy as expected. Nevertheless, they set a high standard for quality dining.
The food is decent. It was recommended to me by someone who believed it was prepared in a healthier manner compared to typical Chinese restaurants in the city, and I think that’s accurate. However, I felt it could have used a bit more seasoning. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, and I also tried the crab wontons, which were quite good. I might return to sample something different. The prices are a bit on the higher side as well.
I went in at about 3pm for my first visit and wanted to try it. they weren't busy at all so I ordered to go food off the lunch menu. The food was good but I was very disappointed with the portion for 15! Not to mention the lady behind the counter was very dismissive. I'm sure that's her demeanor every day. It wasn't just a bad day for her.If you like to pay a lot of money for a tasty small portion, you found your home. Book a table now
If you're looking for delicious Chinese cuisine, Joey Chiu's Greenspring Inn is the place to visit. I highly recommend it! Whenever I crave quality Chinese food, this restaurant tops my list. Although I've only dined in once a while ago, I usually order takeout, and my meals are always ready promptly and served hot. Their menu offers a great variety that never disappoints.
Food is good, the bar area is small and seems like it 's always full so if you want a bar experience I would say arrive as soon as the doors open. The sushi is awesome and the entree portions are plentiful. Bartenders are always engaging. I love this place, its a place that has a lot of regulars , it 's a good time.

The crab cake was outstanding! The service was excellent as well. However, parking can be a bit challenging during lunchtime since it’s located in a bustling medical district. The menu offers a wonderful variety of Asian dishes. Book a table now
Joey Chiu's is a go-to for me when it comes to Chinese cuisine. My daughter picked it as our Father/Daughter dinner spot this evening, and we were both thrilled with the service. As always, the quality of the food was fantastic.
