Breaks my heart to leave this review as this place was one of my favorites all throughout my childhood. When we arrived there were only 3 other tables seated, so none of this can be chocked up to them being busy.I ordered the fried catfish caesar. What came out was blackened catfish. The server asked me if it was OK, and as I was thinking about whether my stomach could handle blackened (I have issues with Cajun seasoning) he set my plate down with a resounding it 's OK and walked away. I was stunned. My fiance got the two meet combo. The biscuit had zero salt flavor and was incredibly dry. The tritip was literally sliced like deli meet. Razor thin, and just as dry as the brisket. The biscuit...

Anyone rating this place more than 3 starts has never had good southern food and doesn't know any better. This was a delivery order. The Shrimp and grits arrived cold and had a thick layer of oil or butter just sitting on top, like it hardened from lack of heat. I warmed it up to eat it and there was absolutely no flavor at all!!! Grits were thicker than a snicker too. I personally like my grits kind of runny because they thicken up while you eat them, well, they got even more thick to the point that I lost my appetite and just ate the shrimp and threw the rest out. The ribs and collards also no flavor. I think that my 16 year old cousin can barbecue better and he just learned how to grill....

I brought my daughter here thinking we were going to get the best service, it was horrible I had to get up to get my own condiments. When my daughter ask her for more coffee and she said Can I get that bowl? Instead of getting her her coffee, she could have waited and got the coffee first instead of cleaning out table. When I used to come in the people were so friendly there. I want potatoes instead of hash browns and she show me on the menu and I said yes. I thought she was going to ask how I wanted my eggs she never asked. In fact that's all she gave me, for breakfast.? Because of this I did not tip her and I would have but the service was so horrible. She didn't even ask us how we were do...

Relationship goes way back before the fire one of my daughters went here for her 14th Bday she's turning 28 soon. Gotta kiss the Pig if you go also, one of few places in the city were you throw your used Peanut shells on the floor. My kids never got used to that one (lol). Wonderful southern style food mostly BBQ done pretty right. Book a table now

Always a great time here at Johnny Rebs! The food is exactly how I remembered. The baby back ribs are my dads favorite and we were not disappointed. Thank you for the wonderful service Nikki and Eleazar! I will be returning soon! Please bring back the pecan pie and the apple turnover al a mode!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I had to wait forever to be seated. Was not offered a menu. Strangely manned me. Maybe they are severely understaffed. I don't know. Doesn't warmly welcome like you would expect from a southern restaurant. Extremely disappointed.

Staff was friendly and the place is clean. I ordered the burnt pork and beef tips, slaw and sweet potatoes fries. The tips were fatty and cold, the slaw was tasteless, the BBQ sauce had no kick and lacked flavor. Not what I hoped for, off

Super soft beef ribs and good flavor but could have been a bit fresher. Cole Slaw was good. Beans were a bit watery. Corn bread was a bit dry. All in all the food and service was good. But has potential to be great!Food: 4/5 Book a table now
