We are regulars here, and consider this to be one of the best restaurants in the area. The staff here is amazing and loyal both to the restaurant and to us customers. Dale has brought consistent levels of fresh creativity to the menu. And Sean is…Sean you WANT this guy in your corner. He has brought continuous excellence in operations and an expanding vision for his business, most recently exemplified by the significant enhancements to the outdoor dining area. Also, this place pours an outstanding Guinness. Finally, huge thanks to Gerardo, Chris, Jaime, and of course, Paco, for always making us feel special.
I was floored by how beautiful the place and the food are. Arguably one of the most beautiful in San Carlos or even the whole Peninsula. Their salad creations look like cluster of gems. The fried chicken sandwich is crispy, juicy, and yet not greasy. I love how they add peach into the sauce as well. The top quality of ingredients meet the thoughtfulness of the chefs. I will definitely come back to try everything here!
Always love Johnston's saltbox. We never forget to get the scones, and the rotating seasonal menus always mean something new to enjoy. The outdoor dining is delightful, even in winter, when you can enjoy the blankets they provide to help keep you comfortable. And the leftovers the next day are just as good.
Got the burger and it was top notch. Only thing that I really didn’t like was the drink. I ordered a Diet Coke and the first one was fine but the refill…I have no idea what drink it was. Definitely not a coke product and tasted so bad! Kinda ruined the dinner for me but for sure the burger was good

Superb services and atmosphere on the outside patio! Absolutely love this. The food is extraordinary and yummy. You can have a separate dessert menu which was super yummy too. Love comes back again but it's a little bit pricy to come often
