Rather than rant on about this OVERPRICED venue that NEEDS a facelift let me just say I was extremely disappointed after hearing so much about how great this place was only to come away with more than a BAD TASTE in my mouth. The food...we had was HORRIBLE!!!! the grilled king prawns were overcooked, tasteless and boring the roast lamb was unseasoned, tasteless and uneventful the wagyu steak was overcooked, tasteless, and had little if any sauce We told the wait staff about our food, which was mostly left on the plate and they showed no interest in our feedback. we made the $ 125 three-course menu for a special occasion and while eating was nice, it was nothing spectacular. the garnels were served entirely with a fork spoon (instead of a measurer) and had the poor tube in them. the haupt (Barramundi)...was nice, but nothing more than they would expect in a chic pub (think merivale quality.) the dessert was unusable, however, the white chocolate-halffreddo was roasted. not the quality for a one-hat restaurant with a fee of $125 for three courses! the interieur was tired and shut down, with the carpet peeling and dated furniture. a beautiful view so recommend if you want to go for a drink only, but if you are looking for fine restaurants in the value...
that's our 3 times jonah. the first on our high-time night many years ago and the 2nd time ago 4 years. we enjoyed our 3-course lunch. the garnels were large, fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the Wagyu-Rind that I ordered. rare, but you said it could not be rare, it had to be medium-sized rare and the lamb of my man was ordered indirectly rarely, but was a certain medium without pink bits at all. we didn't want to sue it because it was our high-time anniversary and I didn't want to spoil it. both desserts were great. Went with friends as had been given a gift voucher. Set menu $125 a head. So breaking that up $30 entree thats what they took off the bill for mine lets then say $70 for main and 25 for desert. I had the...prawns which i sent back as weren’t cooked and poo tube still in. New entree arrived , still with poo tubes in and one prawn was a bit funky Wagu for main. Sous vide weird cut. Fatty and cold. Ate half. There was no way any mains at the table were worth $70. All up $1100 for 5 people. Staff were good and we noticed all other prawn dishes had been cleaned. Expect far more for that price. Over priced , over rated

This is the first time we visited Jonah's it was an exceptional experience. From the minute we arrived and greeted by a friend helpful Julia at reception, nothing was too much trouble and . The room was outstanding with a magnificent view over...whale beach the room itself was perfect beautifully fitted out. The wait staff couldn't have been more accommodating professional. Niels, the F&B manager, guided us through an incredibly vast wine list with ease. Its not the cheapest place to spend the weekend, but what the hell, places like Jonah's, where everything is 5 star, don't exist too often.
For my wife's 30 birthday we spent a night at Jonah’s, with dinner at their restaurant, breakfast in the room and remedial massage in the morning. Everything was perfect. Service was top notch. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast in the room was served as if straight...out of instagram pictures. My wife didn’t have much expectation for the remedial massage because they were usually so-so at hotels but the one at Jonah’s was amazing. Not to mention the amazing waterfront view everywhere at Jonah’s. We highly recommend this place.
we have eaten them for lunch and from the minute we went to this restaurant, the service was fantastic. the love for detail in the presentation of the food and service for every customer who was visited was perfect. the food was delicious and beautifully presented....The view from our table with view of the whale beach and the dolphin bay was breathtaking. in particular, we loved that we did not feel rushed at any point. no wonder that this restaurant has earned so many awards. highly recommended.
Boxing Day lunch. Waiter service was non existent. Had to ask for water and champagne refills four times. Three pork cutlets and all looked very different. One was completely raw the other two cooked,but cold and tasteless. Side dishes were also cold and lacked taste,...A very large bill for a below average lunch and service. Enjoyed it in the past but definitely lost its lustre now.

I had to cancel a reservation 3 weeks before the date. Normally, this will cost the 50% payment amount. but Jonahs told me if they can sell my room, they will give me a refund. a day before the date I got the message that. thanks to nice weather they could rent the room and that they will refund me the amount. the perfect service
