Jose's Mexican Cantina

Our family had been going to Jose’s Mexican Cantina for over 20 years. When pulling up to Jose’s Mexican Cantina we were surprised the restaurant name was changed to Cinco De Mayo. We hungry for Mexican food and decided to give the new restaurant a try. When entering the restaurant, the décor had not been changed at all and everything was dusty and dingy. The benches also had ripped torn vinyl, but we continued in and was sat down. Not sure why we didn’t just turn around and leave. The chips and salsa were promptly placed on the table and we ordered our normal Chicken Chimichanga and Shrimp and Steak Fajitas. This place is absolutely a diamond in the rough. The service was fast, professional, and the food was excellent. I’m not saying I’m a connoisseur of black bean soup, but that was hands-down the best that I’ve ever had.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for over 10 years! The food is always delicious and fresh, the portions are very generous, and the service is always friendly. Plus, they have my favorite salsa and chips!

Food is not good at all. We were the only people in there, and the service was poor. We won't be back.
