I wish I could rate this place lower. I didn’t try any of the food since it looked deserted and the displays were lacking. The server responded to my questions with one-word answers, even during small talk, which made me hesitant to order anything else.

Wish I could leave 0 stars!!! We stopped in a couple of years ago and loved the tea. Tried it again a couple of weeks ago and again, the tea was sooo good but the place was empty, dirty and the one woman working alone was not very pleasant at all. Went back today and it was again empty and we had to wait several minutes for someone to appear at the counter from the back. Looking into this place from the street, I wasn't sure what type of food I was going to find inside. There are a lot of snacks/candy/drinks that are near the front and I wasn't sure what else there was. When I picked up a menu at the front and saw all of the more specific foods, I started talking with one of the servers as well and learned about how all the foods are made there that day by the staff. I'm so glad I finally got to stop in and try this spot for lunch. It's not a huge menu but they have some delicious Korean staples, a cuisine that is definitely under represented in this area. I got the lunch portion beef bibimbop with medium spice. It was spiced perfectly, the meat was good, and it was a bigger portion than I expected. On an empty stomach I had a hard time finishing it. The bibimbop was delicious although a little oily. As other people have mentioned, the woman who took my order made me feel unwelcome. She was busy with another order so I asked her how long it would take. She rolled her eyes and said 5-10 minutes. Then, I asked her for the menu and she unpleasantly pointed it out to me almost implying 'are you blind that you didn 't see it? ' We all have problems so I didn 't take it personally. Maybe she could take on a different role if she doesn 't like facing customers.
If I could rate this place with a negative 100, I would. It's truly a dive. The food they serve is not made in-house as claimed; instead, it's brought in pre-packaged and just reheated. Everything is overpriced. The woman at the counter is unfriendly and seems very unhappy. A young boy who was sweeping the floor told me that she sleeps in the back of the deli and there’s no shower. I ended up throwing my food in the trash and leaving. I wonder what the health department would think about that?
This place was a real gem. A charming little spot with amazing kimchi rice and excellent bubble tea. My wife visited nearly every week. We just found out today that they’ve been evicted! It’s such a disappointment for both of us and a significant loss for the community. I truly hope they can reopen in a new location.
As an old time restaurant owner--this place has great food--let's hope they find a spot where there are as few tables, a bit more display area and with great word anf mouth--more customers than they can handle--thank you--forst timer today--everything was great.

A bit disjointed when you walk in but the food is the real deal. Great takes on Bibimbop, bugolgi and a bubble tea emporium. Worth a visit. Best to take out.
