After placing the order and being told it would be 40 minutes, we waited an hour before we called to be told it had just left and would be with us any minute. I debated for a while about whether this is a 4 star or 5 star restaurant/take-away, but honestly, I cannot fault it, so it has to have full marks! Since discovering this Indian, I never order from anywhere else and I always order the same thing. The chicken caldin is by far the greatest curry I have ever had; its creaminess is beautifully offset by the heat of several green chilies within the dish, making it the most perfectly balanced, flavourful curry I have ever had. A group of seven of us went for lunch today and we were blown away by the amazing food. The authentic Indian flavors and freshly prepared dishes from their extensive menu were top-notch. The quality of the food was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who went above and beyond. The restaurant itself was clean and modern, with fresh white tablecloths adding to the ambiance. We will definitely be returning in the future. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience.
This restaurant serves amazing, fresh, and diverse food, including traditional Indian dishes. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The presentation of the food is impeccable and the restaurant is always clean. While not inexpensive, the quality of the food makes it worth the price. In my opinion, this is the top restaurant in Shirley, regardless of cuisine.

I have visited Kali Mirchi three times for dining in and finally tried their takeaway service tonight. The food has been consistently excellent and offers great value for the price. The menu is diverse and features dishes not commonly found in typical Indian restaurants in the UK. The staff is also very friendly. Overall, I highly recommend Kali Mirchi.
Received my order this evening and not only was it warm, not hot, the poppadoms were stale, the chips were cold and like rubber and the potatoes in the saag aloo were very hard. Not one to complain usually but I will definitely not be ordering from here again!
Just eaten here for the first time (working in Southampton/Shirley temporarily). Fantastic food plus we had a curry virgin with us and he loved it too. Highly recommended and I know good curries when I find them 10/10 and a gold star...
