Today was our first visit to Kanki, and I have to say that the food was delicious! The chef who prepared our meals was fantastic, and my family thoroughly enjoyed his service. A great dining experience also requires good service, which the chef definitely provided. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for our server. She was somewhat rude and even forgot my drink for a significant portion of our meal. Additionally, she took it upon herself to add the tip at the end of our meal, which I found to be odd. If anyone reading this review knows if this is the customary practice at Kanki, please let me know. Overall, everything was fine.
Enjoyed my time here, the staff were very kind and professional. The fire alarm went off while we were in the restaurant due to a fire outside and they immediately informed us of the situation. The waiter also came back to me multiple times to update me about the status of my order because the back kitchen had pretty much shut down due to the alarm. The food I had was very good and I would definitely come back.
The menu had offerings for most dietary needs. I got the salmon hibachi, and it was cooked to perfection. This restaurant reminds me of Shoguns from the Midwest area. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. In addition the restaurant was clean! You've got to try it! Yes, you sit with others, but that's ok. Don't be antisocial, or you'll miss an exciting experience.
As always, Kanki was excellent! It was the perfect choice for celebrating Mom's 71st birthday. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
