Khukuri Cross Nepalese and Indian restaurant is one of those rare restaurants that serves a suitable light lunch for office workers. At other Indian restaurants I had felt bloated after consuming too much food. My favorite lunch fare is dhall (lentils) curry with chicken or goat curry served with basmati rice. A good size freshly deep-fried papadam is included with the meal. The restaurant has plenty of space and has a quiet atmosphere. The curries are so good that my daily goal is to look forward to my brisk 10 minutes walk to the restaurant in order to build up my appetite.

This place I think opened late last year. I have walked passed it a few times and noted it look like a pleasant place to have lunch. So today with 2 work colleagues we shared an entree called momo (5 Nepalese dumplings and beatiful dip) on the plate was also hot chips bit strange but hey they were good. Then for mains we had chicken chowmein, lamb briyani with raita and butter chicken. I also had a mango lassi a beautiful drink while the others had CO2 which was appearently good also. Good pricing good service, all a round a good experience.

The Nepalese food at this restaurant is simply delicious! It is a wonderful new addition to the food scene in Canberra. Our favorite dish is the goat curry, which is one of the best renditions we have tried. The chow mein dishes are also flavorful and rich, offering a unique twist compared to traditional Chinese chow mein. We highly recommend trying this place!
I visited this restaurant with some friends and it was honestly the worst Indian food I have ever had. The starters were cold in the middle, clearly microwaved. The butter chicken was watery and lacking in flavor. We opted for the banquet options and none of the dishes were worth the $30 I spent. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Period.
Came here with some friends and it was honestly the WORST Indian I have had to date. The starters were cold in the middle, clearly microwaved. The butter chicken was the consistency of water and had next to no flavour. We did the banquet options and nothing I ate was worth the $30 I spent. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Ever.
I did not dine in but I have had som amazing take away food here delivered to my door for a small fee. Very authentic momos. I felt like I was in Nepal. The Indian food also went down a treat. Will definitely be going to the restaurant for a try. Book a table now

"Had brunch here on a Sunday. Great staff with friendly service. Good to know that they make their own Hollandaise sauce for their eggs Benedict."

"I recently visited Canberra for the first time and tried Dosa Hut for the first time. I must say, we had the best curry and chicken fried rice here. The flavors were amazing and absolutely delicious."

"Comfortable, clean, attentive service. The portions can be inconsistent. I ordered the Avocado bruschetta, unfortunately it was drowning in a heavy balsamic thickened sauce which totally overpowered the delicate flavor of the avocado"
