As locals, I and my family visited many of the local restaurants. However, we have been shocked by this, as we think it is very overestimated. The restaurant itself is usually ok, the service was good, but the food was just terrible. With a salad that had a terrible goat cheese (probably frozen before) and even worse dressing, a terrible season special (subpart geese for two of us) it had no redeeming qualities. I would go personally for all the other Top Ten of Tripadvisor, we've all visited them and they were all better. However, this is only our experience here, please feel free to try it yourself! Make yourself a favor and do not order seasonal goose or salad here, very disappointing on...
Wir haben hier hervorragend und handfest gut-bürgerlich gegessen. Mein Zwiebelrostbraten war perfekt medium gebraten und sehr zart. Die Spätzle waren selbstgemacht, weich aber noch mit bisschen Biss und datu eine schmackhafte dunkle Trollingersoße. Die Schmelzzwiebel dazu waren okay, besser passen meiner Meinung nach jedoch krosse Zwiebelringe. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Wartezeiten nie unangenehm lang. Und das, obwohl sie nur zu zweit das Lokal und die Terrasse rocken mussten. Insgesamt seht zu empfehlen! Wir würden auch wieder dort essen gehen, denn die Karte bietet viele schwäbische Leckereien!
Bestellt wurden LINSEN MIT SPÄTZLE SOWIE Schw....braten mit Spätzle und ein wenig Kartoffelsalat sowie mit 2 Beilagensalaten. Fazit: Ordentliche Portionen, Preise nicht überteuert und guter Service. Ate here in late afternoon (not yet evening) with my spouse and youngest two children. There were other young families as well on the outside terrace and no one was disturbed by the kids playing. The late afternoon sun was perfect for autumn and we had a terrific outdoor meal. It's a great place to park and finish a day trip to Esslingen.

Amazing restaurant, delicious food and quite large portions. The staff was incredibly nice and hospitable, we even have 2 shots on the house at the end. If you are lucky to be there on a sunny day, the view from a table outside is very nice and chilled. Definitely recommend going there!
Saw outside on a Saturday when the market slowed down. Food was good and service fast. They had special areas on board. If you are looking for a good German fast lunch, it is.
