This restaurant was discovered by our Belgian friends: it is actually very central, but hidden away in a side street. We had a very pleasant evening here, starting with a little aperitif in the bar area. We then moved to the restaurant area, which is...below street level. This is nicely decorated, with modern art on the walls. Service was friendly. The food offer was a selection of steaks, Schnitzels (including the original Wiener, made of veal), fish... all nicely prepared. We all enjoyed out dishes. Some of us even had a bit of space for desserts: pancake with fruits and chocolate mini cakes (see pictures): yummy!

I don't know if they just don't like foreigners, but the service was just non-existent here. We were left waiting at table - totally ignored by several staff - for a good twenty minutes until we were able to order drinks. And that was even after I'd got up and asked at the bar after about 10 minutes (in German) if anyone was coming to take our order.A great shame because the food - when it came - was quite excellent, the beer tasty, and the overall ambience very agreeable.

Yesterday we went here for dinner to have good steak. We've been three. Me and my colleague have ordered same dish (steak). I wanted medium. When steaks came in, we got complete different meats and my was well done and stinky. I couldn't finish my...steak, but it was horrible taste. I am serrious as I was hungry and would eat probably anything. Staff was ok, missing english menu. Would never come back.
Found this place just opposite the hauptbahnhof, but tucked away down a side street. The exterior is pretty low-key but the interior is lovely. Staff were friendly, food was amazing and price was reasonable for the quality. A decent choice of German dishes for some...local flavour. Would definitely return.
