This restaurant in the center of Essen is a German-Italian owned property that doesn't need to hide behind top U.S. steakhouses in major metropolitan areas. US Nebraska and Australian Wagyu beef is on the menu along with fabulous daily specials. Steak preparation is perfect. The side dishes are great, the truffled mashed potatoes are to die for.The wait staff is knowledgable and friendly. Waiter Saber (that's his name, not talking about the weapon) is a ladies' favorite for competence and good looks alike.

Surprisingly, I wasn't quite blown away by the steaks. Though the presentation is stylish, the steaks themselves vary in consistency and preparation. I got slices which ranged from barking raw to well overdone. What's really good was the service, the ambiance, and the other varieties of food.
we have been in this grillroom for the second time and it is always a culinary joy - although it has its price, but it is worth the money in quality. the ambiente is chic, but not too expressive and the waiters are very attentive, but not intrusive. a glass (open) wein (0.2L) costs 13-15€.
