We were amongst the thousands visiting Essen for the annual Spiel boardgame fair at the nearby Messe. Leo's Casa is a regular haunt, providing as it does good quality Italian food at a fair price. The restaurant has a traditional Italian feel with an open...food preparation area having its pizza oven at the heart. There is also a small bar alongside where it is also possible to dine and outside space under parasols. There is a theatre in the other part of the building toilets are downstairs. You really can't complain at lunch. This is really delicious and if you look at the price ratio almost unbeatable. However, we had to wait for food almost 40min although it was not excessively full. That's why not 5 stars. Also, the staff could be a bit more attentive and also look at the tables if a drink is still desired. If you first have to get up as a guest to get another drink, it is not so ideal; .There is also lost sales and there is plenty of air up there.
We looked for dinner and went to Leos without a reservation. It was full, but the waiter cleared a table for us. We had some crostini great with aglio and carpacchio. Then, I went for the salad with fish and that was really delicious! Next...time again... We asked for a red wine, and got some sip for degustation and finally we ended up with the dAsti great, but you shall give him some minutes for airing. Next time again..
We were with our complete team (20 people) in Leos Casa and were all more than satisfied! The dishes are super, very nice service and compliment to the kitchen that 20 different foods so close together on the table! Price-quality ratio absolutely justified! Next Friday we are back and I look forward to a great meal and a beautiful ambience!

Within a four night stay, I went to Leo's Casa twice. Both times were fantastic nice ambience, lovely wine and food. The waiterswaitresses were friendly and helpful. Good venue for eating with colleagues and very convenient if you are staying in Motel One
Whether it's appetizers or main dishes, after several visits to Leo's Casa, I can only say excellent cuisine. Friendly and fast staff complete the very appealing ambience. This won't be my last visit to Essen and I'll be back, no question!
My friends and I always find it very nice in Leos Casa. The Aperol Sprizz tastes delicious and the food is also very good. Always happy!
