Having never visited Portsmouth before we didn't know where to get dinner whilst visiting for my wife's work. Good ol' Trip Advisor drew this place to our attention, and boy are we glad it did! Service was friendly but attentive. Good knowledge of what was gluten free for my coeliac wife. All 4 dishes we had were outstanding. I particularly recommend the satay (perfectly cooked chicken) and the penang (such depth of flavour).. I doubt anything would disappoint to be honest. The food was very good and was the service. But what let it down for is how long it took for the kitchen to actually produce the food. From when the server took our orders and when we actually received our starters was over 45 minutes. It shouldn't take that long to deep fry some veggie spring rolls. The poor server spaced out our drinks so we wouldn't drink everything before the food arrived. When the food actually arrived it was very good. As well, for a while she was the only staff member visible she performed the Hostess role, bartender role and waitress role. The food is very tasty. If you take non vegans, they will love it. I went with my family on a Sunday. My partner and I wanted to share the green curry, but the manager said that they didn't have a vegan green curry paste, so we had the red curry paste instead. There was 4 tiny pieces, really small, the size of a nail, of tofu in the curry. It was very disappointing. I just kept thinking, i bet this wouldn't be so small if it was chicken. We also shared the tofu skewers and tempura veggies. The tempura veggies were hard and not very nice. The tofu skewers are okay, i like the flavour but kinda wish they had more crisp on the outside. This place could add so many more vegan tapas options.
We came in at 6pm for food and it was brilliant from start to finish. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to a nice table. We were served by Elodie and Gina who were both amazing; great chat, friendly service, attentive service, nothing too much of a problem. The food was delicious (I am unsure who the chef is but thank you) and the plates, cutlery and glasses were clean (I am unsure who washed up)! It was a lovely meal and experience and a breath of fresh air when eating out can be quite unpredictable. Thank you.

During our visit to Portsmouth for our wedding anniversary, we searched for a restaurant near our hotel and stumbled upon this gem. The restaurant had great reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and served hot. We particularly enjoyed the spicy crackers and ended up ordering two rounds. If we find ourselves back in Southsea, we will definitely return to this restaurant.
Fast efficient and delicious food. Arrived with half an hour to spare before a gig at the guildhall. The staff understood the situation and fitted us in. The food was hot, delicious and we were out in time. Thanks everyone.
