Genuinely surprised that there are any bad reviews for L&E. My family has only gone to L&E for the 30 years that we have lived in the area. Anytime I have met up with friends who want breakfast, I bring bagels from L&E and every time they say they are the best bagels they have ever had... and that is from fellow Long Islanders. The pricing is fair and the employees are normally very kind. When we go we often have to tell them to do light cream cheese because they use so much. I genuinely feel bad for the people who had bad experiences because I have not once in 30 years had a problem with this place. Great tasting bagels that stay soft for a few days.
My family and I have been regulars at L&E. The bagels are usually nice and warm which is nice. My favorite has always been the super egg (egg everything) and the egg bagel with bacon bits. They also have really great egg sandwiches.It can get very busy on weekends in the morning and the place is small so the line can sometimes get out the door so plan accordingly! Worth the wait and the crowd.
Their normal bagels are good, but man their flagels are hard as a rock! Every-time I get them they're extremely difficult to bite into. Of course it's a different texture because they're flattened bagels, but it shouldn't be that hard. I get one once in awhile hoping for a different outcome, but it's the same each time.
SEAFORD BAGELS IS FAR SUPERIOR!!! I waited 25 minutes for an egg sandwich due to the slow service. At Seaford Bagels, even with a line out the door and just one person making sandwiches, they still manage to get my order ready in five minutes. This place needs better organization and improved customer service.

Best bagel store in wantagh except I love the bagels at wantagh bagels too. So if you’re north you gotta come here. If you’re south wantagh bagels can be good but l love L and E. Town bagel cannot compare.
Delicious bagels! They have a Senior Special for $8.99 per dozen from Monday to Friday, and it's $9.49 per dozen on weekends. Not a senior? No problem! Buy a dozen and get 6 extra for free! What a deal!
We used to live in Wantagh and every time I come back to Long Island we stop and get bagels. This was our “go to” bagel store and have not been disappointed in 20+ years.
This place has become my go to place for the past 1yr. The breakfast Bagels are really great. The price is also great. Definitely a good place to go with no regrets. A
