Food are excellent!!!!! The service is so slooooow and they forgot everthing, it takes time to give you something you need or ask you if you need something else. One shrimp cocktail request to go and tooooooook like 45 minutes to gave me, and nobody came close to me, to ask me if i need something else or what happen with the cocktail ?!!! Finallly i told the hostess what happen and the only answered was they are almost ready they are preparing the chips!!! Whaaaat!!! I said give me right now or cancel?. Bad experience, just the food are good!!
You're primarily paying for the ambiance at this restaurant, rather than the food. I ordered chilaquiles, and they were quite bland—just tortilla chips drenched in a tasteless tomato sauce. For $16, that was a major disappointment. Moreover, considering the high prices and lovely decor, I anticipated a spotless environment, but that wasn't true. I saw toilet paper on the floor, and two of the sinks were out of order.
Love this place all of them but this one is just the best the bar area and the restaurant is beautiful this is the place to go to celebrate. There's a drink comes in a pan yes a pan the best presentation for drink ever and good too. Nice beautiful and friendly staff. Good parking lot location little hard to find. My favorite of the chain same food just elegant.
My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant on August 22, 2022. He chose the asada plate, while I opted for the traditional flautas plate, and both meals were incredibly tasty with authentic flavors. We also sampled two types of salsa, both of which were perfectly balanced and mild in spice. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant.

La Barca Restaurants is well known and has become a chain. Yet the quality and service are fantastic... each location has its plus and negatives. All in all you get a great representation of Mexican food, in some great live music. This location is new and very spacious place to have a great time with family and friends ?
There is ample parking available, and the restaurant is clean, spacious, and reasonably quiet. The staff is friendly, and the food is served promptly. The portions are generous, and the food is flavorful, though slightly spicy. This is undoubtedly the best Barca in Downey, both in terms of food and location.
It was beautiful atmosphere and vibe, the food is incredibly delicious ?. Service could be a little bit better. We had to ask for refills three times but other than that it was good. Definitely be prepared to spend over 100$ if you are a family of five
