After we have eaten mariscos everywhere on puerto de santa maria, what we really wanted was a nice large fish plate, preferably Turbet/Rodeballo and some research showed us that la esquinita was the best place to go. the very friendly staff advised us that they...have a turbot and were more than happy to cut it into the half that was as it was enormous! we sat outside in this shady corner and nibbled on a medien racion by croquetas de gambas and thank you not a whole racion! the turbot came in seven pieces cut. it had been cooked on a bed of potato in olive oil and caramelized garlic. so the potatoes had not only cooked in the oil and garlic, but also in the juices of the fish. we both thoug...

We had a great meal here, they specialise in fish dishes. We sat outside and enjoyed the busy hustle and bustle of the town going past. The waiters were excellent giving good advice and service. Not the cheapest restaurant in town but by no means...the dearest. I thoroughly recommend it
