The service at La Bonne Bouchée is exceptional. As soon as you’re seated, someone brings you fresh, delicious bread rolls, butter, and, if you like, fantastic coffee with creamer—just the right strength. Your order is taken promptly, and if you’re having two courses, such as soup and a sandwich or a salad, they time it perfectly, serving each dish just after you finish the previous one. Always a good time at this French bakery. We've come here for years and it has become our go to spot for birthday cakes and special celebrations. It's a feast to the eyes with those beautifully decorated cakes, macarons, cookies, pound cakes, croissants and other sweets. The bakery area is always cleaned and sometimes quite crowded, but they have now incorporated a number ticket system. So make sure if you plan to buy bakery, take a number then walk and browse, because they will serve you by the ticket number you have! I have been to La Bonne Bouchee multiple times. Typically I'll just go to the pastry line and bring stuff home. Some of my favorite pastries la Bonne bouchee has: vanilla eclair apple and pecan lattice ham and cheese croissant gooey butter cake brownie cheesecake I have not personally tried the large assortment of cakes or macarons but they all look amazing! I heard about a French cafe with excellent pastries and macaroons. We were thankful there was no wait line when we got in at about lunch time on a Sunday as it looked like most of their tables were taken up but it has a large enough dining area that extends to 2 places with outdoor dining as well. This place was a real delight! There was a wide variety of sweet and savory pastries to choose from, and I honestly haven't encountered a single one I didn't like. The owner was present and incredibly kind and patient as he guided us through the different treats. I will certainly make this a regular stop whenever I'm in town!
The servers! Sometimes it looks like choreography; they work so well (and quickly) serving the guests. We love this place. Breakfast, lunch, brunch. They have excellent options and specials. The soups are fabulous! It's always a good experience. Inside or outside , the ambiance is tres bien!
Picked up cake slices and macaroons. Both are very good tasting. Plenty of variety. 4 starts instead of 5 because staff saw us waiting and continued to wipe down the display. There was only one person ahead of us and we still waited 10 minutes. There was a long line behind us as well.
Food is always consistent, service is good, and it's a fun place with music that sticks in my head and I sing along to all day. Best part: pastries, duh. Worst part: finishing the last bite I have dreams about the white cake with strawberry. I'm not even ashamed to admit it. So good!

I had a fantastic lunch in Creve Coeur. They also have a spacious terrace. The lunch specials come with a side, and there's plenty of food! The French Wobbler soup is delicious.
