I'm give 3 stars because honestly their food is soooo good but the customer service over the phone is the worst. EVERYTIME I CALL an order in they A L W A Y S mess it up. I always ask for the SAME thing and it's A L W A Y S NOT what's it's supposed to be. I always ask for NO crema and they put it, and today they gave me an asada burrito when I asked for carnitas , and I found crema. Don't call for your order , go inside. por favor entra that's it.
La cabana has been a pillar in newark for decades. try the cochinita pibil aka el puerto pibil, made famous by johnny depp in once upon a time in mexico. this dish is not often found in Mexican restaurants. a delicious roasted pork in a fantastic sauce that brings a little warmth. served with tortillas, rice and beans for complete meal. house margaritas are top notch and a large guide to the chips salsa.
It was mediocre. the fajitas were tough and the mole chicken was good enough, but not as good as any of the other places I've tried. The quesadilla and horchata were good. The meal was late and service was poor; it seemed the restaurant was short staffed. I won't bother again.
Relenos chili great best of ever tasted and im from newmexico my Sam loved them he is critical about mexican food. Also enchiladas are good, waitress not customer oriented service need to be more friendly. Book a table now
The food is okay. I was disappointed when I ordered a shredded chicken burrito and got beef. Apart from that, I was satisfied with the customer service and the margaritas.
