La Chamade - Table reservation

Late lunch and a kid that did not want seaflld from the great place beside! So we ended up at Brasserie La Chamade. Friendly service and very accommodating when the tellines were in cream and I cannot eat it, so they changed even if already...ordered. The moules were good but also with tons of cream which became less appealing through the dish. The fries not at their potential. Good simple salad. So a great plus for the kind and flexible service as for the nice terrasse, the food being slightly too average for the touristy price we paid this July.

it's so bad if a favorite restaurant turns out so disappointing. I see that I have this restaurant in 2016 when the service was great and welcoming. but no more. I was recently turned away by a very insulting front-of-house waiter, as I asked for a table to lunch. in the last 15 years we have often reserved a table for lunch. there are many other restaurants in saintes maries so we will not return here.

eating is ok, not high standard but ok for this price class. service instead could be much more friendly. they have a good food and thank them or we have only heard this in the restaurant next to this. also tables and forks...and knives could be cleaner. it's a shame because I think this place has a potential to have a full terrace.

I visited Saintes-Maries today and ended up in la chamade for their moules et frites. it was delicious! the staff was friendly and helpful, I enjoyed my short stay very much. Luckily the sun was out and I could even sit outside and eat.
