Located in Watervliet, Michigan, this restaurant has some awesome food, a small Mexican market area, and awesome staff. I'm looking forward to trying other menu items!The food was amazing! The only ding here was that the food was submerged in oil. I had the fried burrito and enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa! The burrito was off the chain!! I also enjoyed the size of the portions.The service was great. The staff was kind and helped me through the menu. They also kept offering water, my favorite!The atmosphere needs a little working on as it was okay. I love the cult...
5 out of 6 times that I've eaten here in the last 2 months our order has been wrong. More often than not if you order a dinner they just completely forget to add the rice and beans. If you don't check your food before leaving you'll be walking out with the wrong food. Every time I've come here to eat they aren't busy so I don't understand how or why the order is being messed up.i understand that it's a family run restaurant but that isn't an excuse for poor customer service!
I ordered from the food truck and was really disappointed. We requested two burritos with cheese, rice, and beans, but what we received was completely different—just two burritos with no rice or beans, only lettuce, tomato, and onion. To make matters worse, both burritos were cold! I called the restaurant about it, but they didn't offer to make it right. They just said sorry and would "keep it in mind." I definitely won't be returning.
I truly appreciate an authentic Mexican ambiance, and La Chulas definitely delivers on that front. As for parking, there's street parking available directly in front of the restaurant, which is located on a main street. Additionally, you can find more parking options around the corner and behind the building.

Counter help had crazy long out of control hair, no net. Could not explain the dishes we inquire about. Small child running inside. I would not return.
I've eaten here twice this week and both times the food was dried out and lukewarm like it was microwaved absolutely disgusting
Obviously a family run restaurant. Great variety on menu. Excellent service from friendly staff. Delicious and authentic food!
The tacos here are the best I've ever had! I can't wait to return to Watervliet; I’ll definitely be stopping by again.
