Literally worst experience I’ve had on the Gold Coast, absolutely disgusted by the service. Would’ve given it a zero if I could!! We booked for a big table online and paid $60 to hold the seats, thinking that all is good. Showed up 5 mins prior to the booking time, the lady host was very rude. Looked at us like we are making things up, said to us ‘you booked? For 12?’, then went inside to check, came back and told us ‘I don’t have any tables we are over booked, you are just gonna have to wait for someone to leave’ then left us hanging for about 20 mins. When we finally have a table, the shop was half empty, they asked 12 of us to squeeze into 3 square tables so we asked for one more table. T...

TL;DR we came with high expectations and left upset and unsatisfied. Not recommended. Super loud inside. Waiters didn't even smile once and it actually felt like they were doing us a favor for serving us. We took the grilled corn appetizer, which was very basic and barely charred, and basically felt like a corn on a cob with a bit of extra seasoning. Sauce was ok. For mains we took 3 snapper tacos and 2 cauliflower tacos. The snapper was very chewy and tasteless to the point that I wouldn't know it's a fish if no one told me before. The cauliflower was very basic. Both the tacos were overfilled to the point that everything just fell apart in our hands. I should also mention that no one came...

La Diosa Mexicana opened in Surfer’s Paradise a couple of months ago, and though we missed the opening, we took the opportunity to take up an invitation to visit when we made a trip to the Gold Coast. “La Diosa” translates to “the goddess”, so the name of the restaurant means “The Mexican Goddess”. There are a number of goddesses in the Aztec mythology, and it is not evident which one in particular they are paying homage to. Given the bloodthirstiness and sacrificial demands of most Aztec deities though, perhaps it is more a figurative than literal reference.

This restaurant offers a modern take on Mexican cuisine, reminiscent of Fonda Mexican. The atmosphere is bright and beachy, perfectly complementing the fresh flavors. The tortilla chips are topped with a zesty lime salt that's generously applied. The Baja snapper tacos may seem simple, but each element—tomato salsa, avocado guacamole, and fried fish—gets its moment to shine. However, it's the scallop and chorizo tostada that I can't wait to return for; the combination of tender scallops, smoky chorizo, and a crispy base is nothing short of classic. Book a table now

What a way to end the day. Some of the best service here!! So friendly and bubbly and were all for us making the most of happy hour! They gave us great advice too, the meals are big don't order too much. So so true, so so good thank you for a wonderful night The food was delicious and the green sauce absolutely destroyed my tongue, I went a little silly, but it was so good Prices are very very good here! Great value Service: Dine in

Mexican cuisine has long been a favorite among those living by the beach, and La Diosa Mexicana offers some of the finest examples. Paying tribute to the goddess of Mexican flavors, La Diosa celebrates lively and fresh Mexican dishes: delectable small plates perfect for sharing, tacos for a quick lunch, margaritas to kick off the weekend, and sangrias to get ready for the week ahead.

I have never had authentic Mexican tacos before, so I cannot comment on the authenticity of this place but taste-wise they were pretty good! Went on Taco Tuesday so all tacos were $4, amazing in flavour with the right amount of spice and seasoning. Drinks were strong too and staff were friendly! I do not recommend the Chorizo Tacos/Burritos though Service: Dine in

Dined outside at La Diosa for dinner and was impressed by the colossal portions. The beef burrito and the chicken burrito were both yummy and were served with incredibly tasty cassava chips. Service was attentive though I didn’t appreciate the chipped plate. For atmosphere I would recommend an indoor table Book a table now
