Our lunch was delicious, a traditional Alsatian meat pie, with fresh salad. Wine poured, we toasted our group, and went on to thoroughly enjoy our experience. The views of the fields, gently hilly, so relaxing, sitting in the open air, gentle breeze, YAKS browsing under and around ... the last thing I expected to see here!!. Cheese was followed by dessert, and too soon we were back on the road. If you are craving a little relief from the busyness, love the open spaces and have any feel for the country life, you'll enjoy this place. At some point, YAK meat will grace the meat pie.... Our waitress was excellent, ever smiling and efficient.

I almost don't want to write this, in case the place gets too full. It takes the "fait maison" concept to a whole different level. The rustic décor comes from materials from the farm itself, as does most of the food served. My husband and I shared a burger and fries (a real steal at EUR 10) and it was one of the best I ever tasted. The fries were thick cut round and expertly seasoned. The bread was deliciously artisanal, and the Munster cheese and huge beef burger were produced at the farm. Service was very friendly and the view of the rolling mountains and bulls outside just stunning. Unmissable and very special!
