Plain and simple. Wooden benches and tables in the open air right next to the sea at Aytré near La Rochelle' seaside area of Les Minimes. Not much choice but what they do they do well. The moules come in the house sauce which has 14 ingredients and is a family secret recipe for four generations now. They produce their own oysters and offer excellent crevettes roses prawns). Frites were fine but maybe over or twice cooked but fir uniqueness and atmosphere and if you like moules, oysters and prawns a must. And the price is unbelievably cheap.

Then, without chichi, you taste seafood followed by mussels that are bathed in a mixture that visibly, like Panoramix, only 3 people know! Friendly sea hut feel with a direct view of the water and the squares. Simple, effective and at reasonable prices. Ideal for small budgets and those who want to get away from it all. The little minus: plastic tableware and for children you have to like mussels and seafood. The little extras: fresh seafood.
Ce n'est pas un restaurant mais c'est une bonne table quand même la qualité et le service sont bien assurés. Les crevettes les moules étaient de bonne qualité mêmes les frites étaient bonnes servis avec un Punch maison très bon. Et tout cela avec vue sur la mer à proximité.

If you want to wait a long time, have bag sauces, frozen fries, servers too friendly but with superior quality seafood coming next to it with a very good price ratio (9€ 500g of mussels while in general about 15€ on the Rochelle) you can go the eyes closed.
For a few years now, the summer we take advantage of the La Gigas tables to taste oysters and mussels on site. Beautiful family story in this place, love of the sea, always a good time.

We thought we were eating good mussels, but it was so loaded with aromatic plants that we couldn't even appreciate the mussels. Otherwise very pleasant place and proper service.

From herd to herd. A reduced cooking capacity compared to the reception capacity that brought 45 minutes of waiting. Despite that we had a good time.
