Selected for the last night of our ski tour, the decoration and ambience was promising. The menu had a list of allergens we studied as my son and I have milk allergies. He went for the simple spaghetti blognese he had reported as average, and my wife chose a lasagna that she called mediocre. I went for a lentil-curry in the category "Healthy Options" that had no allergens listed by them. Remarkable for its modest size was the initial taste both inconspicuous and obviously contain unexplained cream, which was recognized by the kitchen. We came to Le Grange for some morning drinks at 11:45am. We were moved by one member of staff to a different table as we weren’t eating (fair enough) and we subsequently were asked by no fewer than 3 other members of staff if we...were eating (once sat at our new table) and subsequently told we had to move again. One waiter started telling his colleague, in French, that he wanted us moved ASAP. Although not fluent French speakers, we understood enough! From the outside La Grange looks like a hidden gem, with its high end decor. However, the food is bad enough to send you to the Johnny for the rest of the week. I selected the Veal Escalope which smelt like rotten meat, the exterior...was meant to be fried bread crumbs but tasted like it had been cooked in engine oil. Very warm restaurant with very nice waiters. The setting is beautiful, in front of the entrance of the Méribel trails. The dishes are varied, rich but rather expensive (19€ a Caesar salad). To make if you are really hungry and want to eat in a pleasant setting.
A restaurant with atypical and nice decoration, which changes restaurants we usually go. We were very well received, and we enjoyed it. The map is quite varied, there are for all tastes. Ask to enjoy the terrace, which is particularly pleasant!
