Friendly popular little Italian on Ecclesall Road South. Fairly standard menu, though a bit light on vegetarian options, but the dishes we had last night were excellent tender tasty grilled artichokes on flatbread as a starter, a substantial plate of sea bass and accompanying roast potatoes and veg, and an equally generous sized dish of homemade cannelloni, plus a rocket and Parmesan salad. Service was really quick and warm despite the busy evening, and the place has a friendly atmosphere: perhaps just a bit noisy lots of hard surfaces! till it quietened down a bit after 8.30. It’s worth noting that despite the big BYOB sign outside £2 corkage per bottle La Luna does have a decent short wine...
We booked a table for Tuesday evening thinking we probably didn't need to with it being mid week. We expected to turn up with perhaps just us being there but as it turned out it was nice and full. We thought that was a good sign. We had calimari and garlic mushrooms for starters with sea bass, seafood risotto fillet steak and a pizza served as a calzone for mains. Everything was delicious and piping hot. Service was nice and friendly. We will definitely be returning, Thank you for a lovely evening.
7 colleagues and friends had a meal in La Lunas tonight. Lovely food and impeccable service from Mustafa, who we were lucky enough to have waiting on our table this evening. Thank you for being so attentive Mustafa!
My husband had the special which was crab and lobster pasta. Looked lovely but was extremely hot with chilli. No mention of that on menu. Only able to eat half of it owing to extreme heat from chillies.

Food I’d give a 5 out of 5 but the service and especially the cleanliness a 1 or 2 pushing it. Really grubby. Actually felt dirty when I left!!! In my new outfit too. Quite disappointed overall.
The service was quick pleasant and just the right amount of attention. The food was pretty good apart from one pudding Lemon Tart that was bland and not very lemony. Apart from that great!
