Being born and raised in Puglia I was intrigued by the resaturant with chef from conversano. Unfortunately the excitement ends there. My second time visiting food has gone way downhill since last visit. My wife and I were very disappointed with both our pasta dishes. I ordered a simple linguine with clams. La Nonna Bella is top notch. It is the number one Italian restaurant in garden city. You need to come here! The sauces are delicious! We ordered the spaghetti with tuna, the lobster and linguini special and the special appetizer, which was shrimp stuffed with crab meat. Miguel is the best server and so memorable! Lino- the chef is outstanding! He came to our table and was so genuine and nice! The food is classic Bari cuisine. Lino and the whole staff do an amazing job. Food is really the best.
Just celebrated a birthday at this magnificent restaurant. Their Christmas decorations are stunning and elegant. The food, from the appetizer to the entree to dessert, was beautifully presented; but most importantly, everything was absolutely delicious. The service was professional and warm. We weren't rushed at all. I cannot wait to go back again!
