Accidental discovery during a walk along the canal to escape the horrible heat. It is a simple place, pleasantly decorated, with a wonderful shaded terrace where a gentle breeze made our time more enjoyable. The real surprise came when the food arrived. We ordered grillee shrimp and magret. Both very well executed and presented, generous in quantity and garnish. Well browned and crispy potatoes, crispy and tasty roasted vegetables. A good handful of delicious red pepper to accompany the flavor of the duck. As I said, simple but delicious dishes made with love. I ate here a few years ago and decided to try it again today. I think it must have changed hands in the meantime the attitude was certainly different. Very attractive setting but €7 for two coffees, and the waiter could hardly have been less friendly and helpful when I asked if it would be possible to have just a salad without the meat or dairy additions he replied that he could only do vegetables. Went down the road to La Halte Romaine at Villesquèlande instead and had a delicious meal.
I pull my hat to this restaurant manager, the kitchen is excellent, the top service despite the affluence... The frame is superb in the quiet of the lock, the only flat a tourist who believed himself alone in the world but that the manager was able to very well reappoint.... I recommend
