We were staying at Helios and booked with extended family as reception said it was very good and we thought it can't be any more handy! It was a Tues fondue night, prix fixe E 25 pp for an aperitif, fondue and dessert. Expensive for...what was served. Literally a half glass of wine, a small bowl of lettuce leaves and how many chunks of bread can you dip into the cheese? Not many. We thought it would be a fun large family meal but in every course we had to chase the server. Salad arrived about half an hour before the bread and meanwhile the cheese sat. The kids meals were served quickly but for 15E pp and frozen fish or chicken nuggets and the smallest ball of ice cream it wasn't worth the st...
a high quality meal, very copied for black angus, a little light for tofu, but everything was very tasteful. the dessert card is a nightmare to make a choice because we want to take everything. I don't know if everything's good, but it's all in the mood. the frame denotes the usual chalet atmosphere in the resorts ( vintage designation 70's). the service is correct, but a server a little cold and the other warm but a little dizzy. That said, it was a pleasant moment in the atmosphere and gastronomy.
we were not very far walked, so decided to eat at the floor of the residency in which we lived. my calf was great and my daughter enjoyed her pizza. sadly the waiter rushed up the stairs with another ladies' dinner and... decided to give her my wife and cook her, a new one that lasted another 10 minutes to come to the time of the rest of us was halfway through our meals. but the tournedo was worth waiting and they were generous, free dessert and genpi to make it!
very nice discovery for this restaurant to start with its contemporary decoration, with its impeccable cutlery and glassware, by the discreet and efficient service and to finish an inventive, tasty and high quality cuisine, all beautifully presented without chichi. the dishes are original and very well made. for a mountain restaurant it is worth the detour not only for its kitchen but also for the setting. large, spacious, in beautiful materials, which completely reminiscent of blur and its architecture through large photos and wallpaper of the station. A real gastronomy moment.
back from a superb trip to the sri lanka, I stayed in the mood and enjoyed myself with the jaipur salad (tofu, citrus, rocket). and ginger pineapple with a coconut ball:-) nice modern decoration. a good address where I go back to taste the other dishes and desserts already spotted!
without any doubt this is the best restaurant in flaine we have enjoyed it so much that we went to lunch a few times. pizzas were great, like the dishes of the day. the personal was friendly and service good. highly recommended!
