Dined here with a few friends prior to a Metropolis show. Great option that is just a few steps from the more obvious choices for a pre show or post show meal. We arrived during happy hour, so were able to grab wine and beer at a bargain price, but with a full price taste! We had a few starters :patatas alioli, a meat and cheese platter, and calamari. The garlic potato salad was garlicky cold and tasty. Hands down favorite for our group. We also tried empanadas, a shrimp special in garlic butter, bacon wrapped dates, croquetas de pollo, and baked herbed goat cheese in tomato sauce. All were a decent rendering of familiar favorties. We had a series of small plates. Some were excellent such as the bacon wrapped figs and some were just so so. We were seated in the bar area despite having reservations. We were seated next to a very drafty window so we asked to be moved into a different room. The seating was somewhat better in the other room. Waitress was excellent and accommodating. Somewhat pricey for what you got
La Tasca is a perennial favorite of ours. The small plate dishes are prepared quickly and always come to the table at the right temperature. The wait staff checks in regularly for the next items we want to order. The food is delicious and the daily specials are interesting. We arrived before pm and were able to take advantage of the weekday happy hour price on drinks
The food is awesome, prices are pretty fair, service is fair, venue is nice. I love this place, EXCEPT the noise level. It was almost impossible to visit and was even more difficult to hear the waiter. I know restaurants like it to feel lively but it gets ridiculous. Can't we get some soft furnishings, like cushions, drapes, etc. to deaden the noise

We were disappointed with the food and service, I have been once before and thought it was great. My most recent visit was not as memorable. I'm hoping it was just bad timing. For the price you pay for the small portions, I was hoping the quality of service and product would be better
As always, La Tasca did not disappoint! Surprisingly quiet, but Monday night. Our server was great, food and drinks delicious! We always get our regulars...goat cheese wmarinara, potato bravas, and bacon wrapped dates...then added a few new dishes all wonderful
Loud and cramped seating, reservations don’t mean much if you are still forced to wait. City prices in the burbs with mediocre food
La Tasca always has excellent food and service. The sangria is some of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend
