Very clean and newly decorated for holidays. Off I 95 found it upon taking exit for lunchtime break in small shopping strip mall . Order usually Lime house Margarita and they had already dropped off complimentary chips salsa and additional queso which was a surprise as some places they charge extra. Quantity was not big but enough for two no double dipping rules apply when you are traveling with associates.. ordered from lunch menu as we were here around 2 pm just enough food to carry forward until supper.. favorite chilli Re llano poblano with cheese rice and beans. My associate ordered same with beef plus burrito Very pleasant music for piping in softly giving atmosphere of up coming Chris...
This location is by far my favorite of all LaToltrcas! The food is always consistently delicious. I have always gotten the street tacos or the Chorizo Pollo. Tonight I twas super hungry decided to switch my meal up a bit and tried the Pineapple Fajitas...this meal is what prompted this review! The amount of protein (chicken, shrimp, chorizo) was plentiful the flavor was AMAZING. I wish I had gotten pictures, but I didn't plan on posting a review. If La Tolteca is a staple for you you want to try something wonderful this is the meal for you. If you are trying La Tolteca for the first time I would highly recommend this meal! Oh...and the staff is always super friendly accommodating.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, but sometimes items are missing from the order. The birria tacos are especially amazing, flavorful, slow-cooked, and then fried up. The guacamole is usually great, but can be very spicy if they put a lot of jalapenos. The white queso is also one of my favorites. I have had to go back inside to pick up missing desserts because they were not included in my bag. Overall, the food is great but you may need to double check your order to make sure everything is there.
It's basically what you'd expect the food was decent and we were seated fairly quickly. It's also one of the only good places to go out to eat in Joppa, which is a good thing. However, my friend and I were seated right next to the bathroom even though there were other open tables. My margarita was good although there was less alcohol in it than I thought. Overall, we had a good experience.

The Carne Asada Street Tacos were fantastic. The carne asada had a delicious, well-marinated grilled flavor that was hard to describe. The "Fresh Guacamole" came with a generous portion of guacamole and extra chips. The Quesadilla Rellena was also a favorite. I would definitely recommend La Tolteca. One thing to note is that the meals always come with a bag of tortilla chips.
Made a reservation May 1st for tonight, May 5th. I was asked my name, number of guests and time. When my son's family and I arrived tonight I was told they don't take reservations, were full with many waiting and would not give a wait time. We left and they've lost me as a customer. Very disappointing.
I needed a bite while driving from Miami to NY. Easy spot off 95. I had the burrito supreme. It was great. Very tasty meats and chicken. Good sauces. I sat at the bar so quick. The place is busy at 1:30 n a Sunday. I'd come back for sure.
Their burritos surpass those of the big chain restaurants with more meat and less filler. The portions of rice and beans on the side are generous. We definitely plan on ordering from here again soon.

Everything is delicious. Crispy when it should be crispy, hot when hot. The guacamole I ordered was smaller than I was expecting, but all entrees are totally filling enough.
