Decided to check out some local shops, La Vigne looked like a good target. The sliding door opened to a small Korean bakery, surprisingly there was no bread aroma. Staff were Korean but too bad I could only speak English. Not much to say about service.
I ordered a matcha latte to see if there are any good joints other than café Cre Asion but once again I was let down. The matcha latte was like poured straight from a packet, very sweet, and lacked the texture and flavour of a real matcha latte. Sweet potato cake, a Korean specialty, was slightly heavier than the bakery across the road, Pishon, but it had unique flavour that I couldn’t make out.
