"Very good food. Injera is amazing. Honey wine is also delicious. The staff was very friendly. It took a while to get our check as soon as we were done, but it was also a busy Saturday night. Would definitely eat again."

Great Ethiopian food, Great for Vegetarians. My wife and I are Indian and vegetarian and we love Ethiopian food having lived in many other cities with top-notch Ethiopian food. When we moved to the Columbus area, we have been on a quest to find our new Ethiopian restaurant. While we have heard of other restaurants in the area, we decided to try this one first based on the rave reviews about the food. The restaurant is located in the Whitehall area. It is located in a strip mall which doesn't look like much from the outside. All the seating is indoor. As you walk through the door, you notice that there are pool tables and a bar at the front of the restaurant. Don't be too discouraged as there...

To get my wife into a new Ethiopian restaurant is a mathematical problem of negotiations. It has a very slow metabolism, and finds that injera- the bread that is traditionally used as a fork substitute to scrub the kitchen and eat with - is too heavy a carb while serving very few vegetables. Fortunately, Lalibela also served collar green as a side plate. That was a point of sale. So we went, and found that the restaurant was essentially the rear half, about 16 tables of different sizes, to a room whose front half contained a long bar with numerous stands. It was immaculate, and apparently acted as a kind of community hub for the Ethiopian diaspora: Also until midnight you could order a fresh...

Cheap food, fun experience!. I drove past this place 1000 times without even noticeing it before I tried it, and I'm sure I did it! You can get a meal that is 3x more than you can eat for $6-$8, and the experience is different from any other restaurant that I was. The menu is bilingual, the entire staff and quite all customers are Ethiopian. If you want a dirt cheap and fun time at dinner, this is the place to go. I never had problems.

Great food, service and price. We had a wonderful experience in Lalibela. The food was fresh, tasty and tasteful and the server was extremely polite and friendly. Even eating with two young children was fantastic. We wish we lived closer; we would often be moats!
