We came here in an evening for my birthday. The first thing to say is that the service was absolutely outstanding every member of staff was attentive, polite, helpful and generally made the whole experience as fantastic as they possibly could. The sommelier is very helpful indeed. One of the servers overhead me ask my partner (in English) What is topinambour? and immediately turned to explain to me, in English, that it is Jerusalem artichoke. The decor is fine, the chairs comfortable, the tables spacious even for four (we were two), and the toilet easy to access. The food was all good, nothing was unpleasant, although some could have been better. A platter of 5 different complimentary amuses...
Our visit to this restaurant can best be summarized as an unpleasant journey back in time to a 90s office building, complete with open plan office furnishing and staff you would expect in such a building. The courses were severely substandard, totally out of balance and the wine list is extremely overpriced (and therefore uninteresting). This restaurant is unworthy of a mention in the Michelin guide (while, surprisingly, it has).
It was great to find such a lovely restaurant right on our doorstep. The food was tasty and imaginative and the service was excellent. One member of our party was a vegetarian and this did not present a problem something very rare here. I'll definitely be going back! Well worth a visit.
Fabulous from entering to leaving. The flavours, presentation, creativity wine selection and service was flawless. Remarkable gastronomic experience. Tremendous value for money. Can't wait to come back and to tell all our friends this is a must.
