This was my first time at this establishment. I was a bit concerned within the first couple of minutes due to some service elements and the timeframe in which it took us to be greeted. The ambiance wasn 't the greatest. The place was recommended to my friend I due to the reviews of having great food. Sadly, we were not able to experience any food from the menu. I love Lamberts. I first learned about Lamberts through my boyfriend, who has been a regular here for years. Lamberts is in a shopping center, sort of hidden, so in my mind I was thinking that not too many people knew about it but boy was I wrong. Each and every time I have gone, Lamberts has been PACKED. Just got home from dinner at Lamberts. This is a true neighborhood bar. If you 're looking for ambiance to hang with your friends and have some drinks, it 's a good choice. No frills, incredibly slow service, but they have TVs and a good buzz. There were very few prices on the menu with most things saying $MP (market price). The dining room is not open, so only the bar or carry out. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday evening and seated ourselves. The drinks are large strong but the service is straight up trash and the food is super subpar. Lamberts is a local strip mall dive bar staple that is going down hill. I sat at the bar for ten minutes without even being offered a glass of water when a good 3-4 bartender/waitresses walked passed me, not even cleaning the empty glasses that sat in front of me. When I think of Lamberts, the word that stands out is "consistency." Their menu is limited, which allows them to excel at the dishes they do offer. I highly recommend trying any of the crab soups—they're just as delicious as what you'd find at a fine dining establishment, but at a much lower price. While the service can be a bit slow at times, it's definitely worth the wait. There are two bars: one at the back and another at the front that caters primarily to groups. The place is always kept clean. What more can I say!
I always enjoy my visits to Lambert's. Just be ready for a little wait for your drinks and to place your food order. The atmosphere is vibrant, the staff is welcoming, and the food is consistently tasty. I was a bit let down that they didn't have the chicken salad I was hoping for, but the burger definitely made up for it, along with the grilled wings and oyster rock. Book a table now
The sole reason to come here is for the drinks, plain and simple. The food is merely average, but it appears that after a few cocktails, patrons don't really notice. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this place. If you're looking for something to balance out the strong drinks they offer, it's wise to seek your meals elsewhere.
