"I love concept food, who doesn't like to be thrown a hot bun straight from the oven? The staff keeps going around and top off your plate with fried okra and what not. Beware the portion sizes are huge, I could only manage to eat my sides. Loved the green beans and fried gizzards."

The food at this restaurant is incredible. While some of the side dishes may not be perfect, it really doesn't matter. You either like it or you don't, it's that simple. Don't expect anything extravagant, just enjoy the simple dishes for what they are. The main dishes were all fantastic, especially the catfish and the jowl-lettuce-tomato sandwich which was perfectly cooked with great toast. The chef's salad was also amazing, with a huge portion size and great flavors from ingredients like sun roasted tomatoes and artichoke hearts. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with impressive roll throwing skills. Be sure to come with a big appetite and bring friends or family along. It's a place...

The restaurant offers fantastic food and service in a festive atmosphere. In addition to the menu, waiters roam around offering free extras like fried potatoes and onions, beans, macaroni and tomatoes, dinner rolls, and molasses. The diner is known for throwing free dinner rolls to customers upon request. The decor includes state flags, Old Glory, and flags of the US Armed Forces. It is not just a meal, but an experience. The catfish dinner was delicious, with a generous portion. If you finish your meal and want more catfish, they will bring you more for free. The candied yams are a must-try as well.

Lambert's is a classic in this area. Go at least once for the experience of catching those hot rolls. You can even order the rolls to go. I usually order the hog jowl. It is like a thicker and saltier version of bacon. We also had the peach cobbler and the fried pork chops. O like their sweet potato fries. Even cold, the food is good for later when you are eating your leftovers. The two of us spent about $50. It is fun to see all the different metal signs and decor as well. They are usually busy, so come early.

When I arrived at the restaurant, the parking lot was very crowded. I called from my car to ask about the wait time, and was told it would be 15 minutes. However, when I went inside to put my name on the list, the host told me it would be a 40 minute wait. I was frustrated because I had just called within a minute of walking in, so there was no way the wait time had increased that much. It seemed like the person who answered the phone either lied to me or didn't know the actual wait time. Book a table now

First time experiencing the rolls being literally thrown at you from across the room. It was an experience to have though. The food was great and they do mean you won't leave hungry with all the side dishes they walk by with to serve you. Not to include your meal with 2 side dishes but they walked buy with some fried potatoes, stewed tomato and noodles, fried ocra, and more. The throwing rolls was fun, its not as crazy as it seems. You will enjoy the experience along with the food.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great experience. I was impressed by the guy who was throwing dinner rolls to customers without missing a beat. The food was delicious, especially the grilled pork chops which were mouthwatering and melted in my mouth with every bite. I also appreciated that the waiters walked around offering extra sides to choose from. I went on a day trip with friends and we plan on returning to try more items from the menu and desserts.

I have always enjoyed dining at this restaurant and have traveled long distances to visit. However, after my most recent experience last week, I have decided that it is time for a change. The bill for a $107 meal ended up being $124.95, which was a bit surprising. Despite tipping our waitress $10, the service was only minimal. I would prefer to drive to Sikeston in search of better service.

The food, service, and the atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress she was amazing too and we absolutely had no issues here. I had the chicken dumplings and the food that kept coming out along side our meals was so filling that I couldn't get dessert. I absolutely had a blast here and I definitely would come back if I'm ever in the area again. I just wish we had stuff like this up north! Book a table now

Loved eating here! The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get which is a lot. Our meals came with sides plus staff walks around with various other sides that they will offer for free. The throwing of the rolls was the best part though, it made the whole experience more fun.
